Amalgaverse OOC

Since the Halloween plot is going to continue on (expect some RP posts shortly here, there's a few subplots and such that need to be attended to), I encourage people to do spooky shenanigans. I know folks are busy with NaNoWriMo, which is why we're not doing a big plot for November. Plus, there's not a lot to do in November anyhow, since school will be out for Thanksgiving break and then, of course, Thanksgiving. So there will be no plots set out by your dear mods, but please do your own plots and stuff like that!

There will still be a Halloween Party of some sort. I'm not sure when it's going to happen, likely once suplots have been tied up or attended to. Then, we'll likely do something for the holidays, possibly a dance or something like that. Any suggestions are welcomed, as well as any plot ideas!

So pay attention to amalgaversehigh for new stuff in the next few days and get your characters involved!

Okay, so. Two of your dear mods are without stable internets at home for an undetermined amount of time. This, of course, cuts in to that fine roleplay we all know and love. So here's what we're going to do about it.

Halloween will proceed as normal. We'll simply stretch things out so everyone can do ~stuff~. We'll try to post more IC entries for people to participate in and we encourage you kids to move forward with whatever might be happening to your characters in game. Post entries! Post logs! Post journals! We'll still be able to do these things (entries and tags can easily be written up offline and then replied to via our hotspot at home), but we might not be able to do much in the way or real time/IRC roleplay.

If there's any questions, please leave them here or feel free to ask Angie, since she has stable internet. If there's questions she can't answer, we'll hash things out together. In regards to current plot stuff, feel free to get creative. We love it! We put down basic guidelines and rules for this plot so people could go all out with their characters.

We're actually going to be having two Halloween events, the overall plot (which you can take things from to stick with your characters in the future) and then a Halloween party at the end of the month. Like mentioned in the initial Halloween plot post that's up, everyone's characters will be affected somehow and this really depends on how involved or changed you want your characters to be.

Preceeding Homecoming, we all know we have to ~show spirit~ for our home team with a week of ridiculous themed days.

What I'm looking for here is ideas for each day! There's only five, of course, since it's a school week.

Also, in regards to how to run these threads, maybe one every couple days? I was thinking about doing one per week (which can be done, of course), which would put homecoming in mid October. But perhaps maybe five days per thread to give everyone plenty of time to get people in and have shenanigans?

GUESS WHAT TIME IT IS?

That's right, Homecoming is right around the corner. What does this mean for the student body at large? It means there's a big old school spirit filled football game on the way, a ~dance~, and surely an after-party or two. And what does this mean for us, the players?

It means: IDEAS ARE NEEDED.

So here's a thread for whatever may come up in the planning stages. We need teacher and parent chaperones; will they be running up to dancing couples with a ruler in hand to measure body distance, or will they look the other way when your student spikes the punch? Also, what's theme? Tacky or badass? Who's throwing an anti-dance party (screw the man, let's get wasted!) and who's house is available for drunken shenanigans afterward? And always there's the possible socially ostracizing feat of finding a date or deciding to go stag (or being forced to!) Feel free to list any couples or thread out the awkward asking out phase if you feel so inclined >:)
